Our Angel that is always in our hearts and is featured this month is…

Sandy Casey

This month we are honoring the beautiful Sandy Casey.  Sandy was 35 years young when her life was robbed from her loving family and fiancé the night of October 1st, 2017.

Sandra Casey was born on January 11th 1982 and grew up in Dorset Vermont where she graduated college. Sandy is described as loving life, and a beautiful person inside and out with a passion for children and helping others. Sandy was very close with her family especially her sisters Tracy, Amanda, and Tanya. Sandy’s mom shared with me that the girls would choreograph dances at dinner time, so their mom and dad would have dinner and a show a memory she will always hold near to her heart.
Sandy dedicated her adult life to her passion, teaching special education. Her students “her kids” as she called them, were her world.

“Most people don’t realize that special education teachers are really angels disguised as extraordinary humans”

Sandy enjoyed her job very much and really made an impact on her students and her coworkers. One of her peers described her class as quiet and calming, and anytime Sandy had to step away from her class, you could tell her kids missed her dearly. She met a lot of people since her move to California, from her fiancé Chris, to numerous friends, and coworkers that turned into friends. Sandy loved being outside hiking camping and going to the river. One of the pictures Chris sent me was from a friends trip to Parker, and anyone who has been to Parker before knows all about Road Runners and has most likely had a famous Road Raper. When I saw that picture I told Chris hey I collect those cups! He said they did as well. Next time I am in Parker I will definitely be drinking one in Sandy’s honor.

Her family and friends have a huge void since she has left this Earth, and they hold close the memories they encountered and look at the many photos they have. They remember her great soul, which attracted great people, and that is how they will always remember her and her sweet smile.
